Livin' The Hunt was started with the idea that we wanted to get “Back-To-Basics.”  Something was missing in the outdoor media industry that many outdoor enthusiasts were beginning to notice: too much focus on scores, big horns and success measured on the kill.  When we really do some soul searching, and ask ourselves to honestly answer the question, “What are some of our favorite memories, from the first time we can remember being in the woods with our father, grandfather, uncle or someone else through today?”

Is it a kill, is it a score, or is it something else?  Deep down, we all know the answer.

Livin’ The Hunt is all about what goes on before, during, and after the hunt.  What makes “The Hunt” is the preparation, the anticipation, the adventure, the camaraderie, the friends and the memories.  Punching a tag is a bonus, but how many times is the story told about the one that got away?  Our grandfathers, fathers, uncles, aunts, grandmothers, sisters, brothers, friends, pass on stories and memories about the adventure of their hunts.  These memories and stories are what we remember for years, not the scores or the horns. A sucessful hunt is measured by the new friendships that are made, the old ones that are reunited, and the memories that will last for years.

The concept of Livin’ The Hunt began in the winter of 2009 with three goals:

1) Bring “The Hunt” to the viewers.
2) Bring the viewers to “The Hunt”.
3) Make quality a top priority.

We feel that if we accomplish goal number 2 and 3, goal number 1 would be automatic. Our mission is to take members of “Livin’ The Hunt” on hunts all over the country and to capture their story, the adventure, the highs, the lows and the hunt on film to share with the viewers.  We want to involve the viewers to share their stories and the adventure.

Season 1 is complete and we are preparing for Season 2. Team Livin' will be traveling across the U.S. and Canada during 2010 taking members on hunts of a lifetime. We will begin filming turkey hunting in April in Oklahoma and will finish up in December with a Texas whitetail hunt. We will be traveling to over 9 states in addition to Canada. We will be chasing some of America's big game including Columbia Blacktail, Antelope, Black Bear, Turkey and, everyone's favorite, whitetail. We have over 15 hunts booked and are looking forward to members joining us on every one.

The Lord has opened so many doors to us here at Livin’ The Hunt and we are excited for what is in store.  Season 2 filming is underway and God willing, many more to come.
